Upload a track — get an instrumental, a cappella and stems
You only need a free Stream-Q account. The first 3 are free.
What you get
We use Demucs (htdemucs), one of the best open neural networks for music separation. Choose the stems you need:
- Instrumental — everything except the vocals: for karaoke and performances.
- A cappella — clean vocals: for remixes and mashups.
- Drums, bass and “other” (guitars, keys, synths) — separately, for samples and arrangement study.
Honestly about quality
Separation isn't perfect: an a cappella may keep an echo of cymbals, an instrumental a ghost of backing vocals. It works best with clean studio mixes in WAV, worse with low-bitrate MP3 and live recordings.
FAQ
How much does it cost?
The first 3 are free, then 20 Notes. Notes are Stream-Q's bonus currency: you earn them for tracks rated on streams; they can't be bought. If processing fails, the credit or Notes come back automatically.
Who will see my track?
Nobody: files are private, can only be downloaded from your account and are deleted after 14 days.
Can I process other people's tracks?
For yourself — rehearsing, learning, karaoke — yes. Publishing someone else's instrumental or a cappella as your own isn't allowed: the rights to the recording stay with the rights holder.
