Upload a mix — compare styles — download the master

You only need a free Stream-Q account. Previews are free every day, and the first 5 full masters are free too.

How to master online in 3 steps

The whole process is on one page, no jargon:

  • Upload a mix (WAV, FLAC, MP3, M4A — up to 80 MB) or pick a track you already checked in the analyzer.
  • Click “Listen to 3 variants”: “Balanced”, “Warm” and “Bright and loud” for the track's genre — on a 30-second excerpt, loudness-matched so you choose by sound.
  • Pick the one you like and download the master of the whole track — 24-bit WAV and 320 MP3.
  • Need more control? Pro mode: 51 ready-made presets, a builder (genre, character, intensity, loudness), AI mode, reference and album.

What to prepare before mastering

Leave headroom in the mix: peaks around −6…−3 dBFS, no limiter on the master bus. Export a 24-bit WAV at the project's sample rate. If you're unsure about the mix, run it through the analyzer first: it shows clipping, mono problems and frequency imbalance.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in the browser, including on a phone. You only need a free Stream-Q account.

How long a track can I upload?

Files up to 80 MB — that's about 5 minutes of 24-bit / 44.1 kHz WAV (about 7.5 minutes at 16-bit) or a whole album as MP3. For long tracks use FLAC — it's lossless and much smaller than WAV.

How much does it cost?

Previews are free: up to 30 variants a day (a 30-second excerpt). Full masters: the first 5 tracks are free, then 40 Notes per track. Notes are Stream-Q's bonus currency: you earn them for tracks rated on streams and other activity on the site; they can't be bought.

What if the mastering fails?

If a render fails, or you cancel a job while it's still queued, the free credit or the Notes you spent come back automatically.

What format will I get?

24-bit WAV (at the source sample rate, no lower than 44.1 kHz) for distribution and 320 kbps MP3 to play on a phone or send in a chat. Files are kept for 30 days; the loudness figures stay in your history.

Who will hear my track?

Nobody but you: the files are private and can only be downloaded from your account. The source is deleted 7 days after it was last used, previews after 3 days.

Why doesn't a loud master sound louder than others on Spotify?

Spotify, YouTube, Yandex Music and Apple Music normalize loudness (to about −14 LUFS, Apple to −16). A track that's too loud just gets turned down, and the dynamics squashed by the limiter don't come back. That's why “Streaming −14” is a sensible default, and “Club −8” is for DJs and systems without normalization.
